Welcome to SharTron Records. Our first release is a zine entitled What Color is Your Blue? Sad Songs for Black Girls. This 16-page zine is a sonic exploration into sadness via the color blue. In it, I explore the different dimensions of the blues, including grief, loss and loneliness, as seen through a Black girl’s eyes. Designed in the form of a CD booklet, this zine includes written reflections on my favorite sad songs. It is a tool for getting through hard times, and though it is about sadness. Each entry is meant to uplift readers as they move through pain and loss and ultimately, come out to the other side.
